Fantasy Match 3: Mankind vs Bray Wyatt

Hell in a Cell Match

Mankind vs Bray Wyatt (with Rowan and Harper)

 “Philadelphia… We’re here.”

Bray Wyatt’s music hits, and he makes his way through the black arena towards the ominous cell, with Rowan and Harper in tow. Fans’ cell phones, Wyatt’s “fireflies” light the otherwise pitch black arena. Sitting down in his rocking chair, Wyatt contemplates for a minute how to start the match, before beginning a perilous climb to the top of the cage, much to the excitement of the crowd, who know that this isn’t going to be a normal cage match.

“What!?” Jerry Lawler exclaims, “Is he really going to start this match on top of the cell?”

“I’ve never seen this before!” Michael Cole has obviously seen this before, at least twice, but he’s being fed the line to make this moment sound more special, as if it needed it.

A brooding violin piece, and dim blue lighting, accompanies Mankind’s entrance. The man born Mick Foley bared little resemblance to the stand-up comedian and author, with a disfiguring leather mask and a white T-shirt which bore blood stains from a previous encounter. He comes chair in hand, prepared for another violent encounter inside The Devil’s Playground, a land he is well acquainted with.

The lights come back on, and Bray Wyatt is on his knees on top of the cell, beckoning to his deranged opponent to join him. He doesn’t have to ask twice. Mankind holds the chair as if he is going to toss it up the cell, but he smells a rat. He turns and strikes a sneaking Erick Rowan on the head, busting his bald head open. He then catches Harper in the gut, and then the back with the steel folding chair, before making his ascent, ensuring that this will be a one on one encounter.
Bray is waiting for him on top of the cell, and nails Foley with right hands, before pulling him by the hair to the center of the cell. Mankind fights back with a left to the body, and wraps Wyatt up for a snap suplex on top of the cage. The two big men sink the roof in, but do not collapse it. Mick Foley picks Bray up, signalling for a Double-Arm DDT, but The Wyatt Family Patriarch fights his way out of it, instead hitting the veteran Foley with a back body drop on the cell. The cage comes dangerously close to breaking but again holds. Mick is silently thanking WWE for making a sturdier cell than the old one.

Harper and Rowan get back to their feet, and Harper throws a chair up to Wyatt, before the two family members begin to climb up too. Wyatt nails Mankind on the back with the chair, multiple times, as Jim Ross laments at the violence.

“Good God, King. How many of these chair shots can Mankind take?”

By now, The Wyatts have climbed to the top, and all 3 members of The Wyatt Family begin stomping Mankind, and taking turns hitting him with the chair. Beaten down, Mick gets back to his feet, he hits Bray with a low blow, and DDTs Rowan and harper at the same time. He picks up the chair, but Bray kicks him in the gut, and viciously tosses him from the roof of the cell, crashing violently through the Spanish announce table below!

“GOOD GOD KING! IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN! IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN!”

Jim Ross loses it, while Lawler and Cole are speechless. Even Bray and his lackeys are in disbelief. Doctors and trainers begin coming out, trying to care for Mick Foley, who hasn’t moved an inch since the fall. Even Vince and Hunter come out, worried that the match may be over before it begins. They get Mick onto a stretcher and up the ramp.

The Wyatts descend the cage, and circle the incapacitated Foley, preparing to finish him off. Bray gets him off the gurney and into the cell. Rowan and Harper are about to join him, when Edge comes out of the crowd brandishing a chair. He takes out Rowan and Harper, but Wyatt hits Sister Abigail, a spinning reverse STO on him, injuring the once-broken neck of Edge.

EMTs get Edge out of the ring, and referees lock the cage, leaving only Mankind, Bray Wyatt and Earl Hebner in the ring. Finally the bell sounds.

Bray drags Mankind to the corner, and runs from across the ring, crushing Foley beneath his weight with an avalanche-like body splash. Mankind crumbles, and roles under the ropes, trying to get to his feet on the apron. Bray come running again for a shoulder block, but Mankind collapses and Wyatt stumbles over the top rope, colliding with the unforgiving cell.

The deranged Mankind gets to his feet finally, and smashes Wyatt’s face into the cell, before hitting him with several big right hands. Wyatt falls to the thinly padded floor, and Mankind picks up the top section of the steel steps. Brandishing them as a battering ram, Mankind crashes the steps into Wyatt’s head and shoulders, whilst also pushing one side of him into the cell. Foley drops the steps and hits a seated Wyatt with a running knee to the face (a move Mankind learned from Cactus Jack, who was obviously watching this match on the WWE Network for just $9.99)

Mankind continued to pummel Bray Wyatt with punches, before slamming his head into the ring post and rolling him into the ring. Mick needs to lean on the ring apron to stand, but is able to mount a solid offence. He rolls into the ring himself, and sets up Bray in the Tree of Woe, hanging him upside down in the turnbuckle. Mankind gets a running start and drives Wyatt with a signature Mankind elbow drop, before going for the cover.

1...2…
Wyatt kicks out, barely staying down for the two count, and Mankind shouts his disapproval whilst ripping clumps of hair from his own head. Again, he rolls from the ring, lifting the apron to look for a weapon. He pulls a table from underneath the ring, and slides it into the squared circle.

Foley takes some time getting into the ring, and by the time he gets through the ropes, Wyatt is already up and blindsides Mankind with a shoulder block, dropping Mick. Wyatt then sets up the table, and lifts Mick Foley. He hits Mick Foley with a bodyslam and runs for a seated senton, but Mankind rolls out of the way, and Wyatt crashes to the mat. Mankind rolls over and lifts Wyatt up, nailing him with a Pulling Piledriver. Foley again went for the pin.

1...2…
Again, Bray Wyatt kicked out. Mick slapped himself in the face, both to get his blood pumping and to punish himself for not finishing his opponent.

Cole was bewildered, “What is it going to take to put Bray Wyatt away?”

Mankind reached into his tights, and pulled out Mr. Socko, signalling for the Mandible Claw. He went for it but Wyatt caught his hand, picking Foley up for the Uranage out of nowhere, driving Foley through the wooden table. Wyatt laughed, kneeling over his fallen opponent.

He contemplated going for the pin, before picking his fallen enemy back up, waltzing Mankind to the centre of the ring in a dance-like motion. He leans down to kiss Mankind on the forehead, but the wily veteran shoves his fingers into Wyatt’s mouth!

“The Mandible Claw! He’s got it King! Bah Gawd! Foley has a chance!” Jim Ross went nuts, cheering on the masked lunatic as he shoved Mr. Socko down Bray’s throat. Bray went down as his Wyatt brothers shook the cage door, trying to rip it off, but it was no use. Wyatt was trapped in the grip of Mankind. He faded fast, dropping like a sack of potatoes to the canvas. Referee Earl Hebner had no choice but to call the match, as Wyatt had nothing left.

“He did it! Mankind put Bray Wyatt away!” Michael Cole was in shock.

“Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy has done it!” Jim Ross cheered gleefully, as Mick Foley, battered and cruised, stood tall over the patriarch of The Wyatt Family, finally down for good.

Howard Finkel called it. “Here is your winner… Mankind!”

Mankind stumbled to his feet, victorious, as EMTs entered the Cell to pull Bray Wyatt away.

Wrestlemania 31, Adjusted Predictions

This Wrestlemania Season has been a chaotic one, with a few unexpected turns. Daniel Bryan lost his title and has sat out most of the year with an injury, Alberto Del Rio got released, Roman Reigns got injured, Brock Lesnar squashed John Cena, and The Shield separated. We have still yet to see the debut of Sting, and NXT signed the best independent wrestlers (outside of AJ Styles). On top of all this, Cesaro and ZIggler have seemed to reverse positions, with Cesaro losing every week and Ziggler primed to be a top guy.

Wrestlemania 30 was huge, and had many marquee matchups. With the excess of talent there will definitely be more big matchups than filler this year as well. I will give Wrestlemania 31 8 Matches, including the Pre-Show and the Andre The Giant Battle Royal.

Pre-Show
Tag Team Titles: The Usos vs The Ascension vs GoldStar vs The Dudleys (Elimination Tables)
This one is kind of out there, but it would be a great way to get fans excited early. There are rumors that The Dudleys are coming to WWE, and even if they debut before Mania, this would be a great way to utilize them. If I were to book this, it would come down to The Dudleyz (as faces of course) and The Ascension (as heels), with The Ascension getting the final fall.

*On a side note, if I was fantasy booking a Dudleys return, it wouldn't be in the tag team division. It would be Bully Ray taking on John Cena in the main event, and D-Von either as a stooge or not there at all, but since this is WWE, they likely won't recognize Ray's potential as a top heel, and will pair him with D-Von again.*

Undercard:
John Cena vs Rusev (with Lana)
Rusev should remain undefeated until Wrestlemania, and then defeat Cena in a huge match. Please don't let Cena win this one, he already killed Bray Wyatt's momentum last year, and Bray didn't recover until Hell in a Cell.

*The fantasy would of course be Kurt Angle vs Rusev, but that is a long shot*

Diva's Title: Natalya (w. The Hart Family) vs Charlotte (w. Ric Flair)
Nobody cares about the Diva's Match at these events. Creating a family feud storyline around the match would give it some more attention. It also doesn't hurt that Charlotte and Nattie are two of the best wrestlers on the roster at the moment.

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Another 30 Man Battle Royal to try and push a midcard star. I have 3 predictions for the winner:

  1. Dolph Ziggler
  2. Sheamus
  3. Baron Corbin (if he is brought up by then)

Main Events:
Daniel Bryan vs Bad News Barrett
This storyline goes back to the Royal Rumble, where both men return, Bryan officially and Barrett unofficially. Bryan comes back and is a house of fire, eliminating guys left and right, but then Bad News comes out unannounced and eliminates him, delivering the bad news that he won't be in the main event of Wrestlemania. (This is the best way to get Barrett heel heat on his return, and also leaves Bryan looking strong despite losing the Royal Rumble). Barrett continues to attack Bryan, and constantly costs him shots at entering the WWE Title match (teasing a repeat of last year). Finally, Bryan agrees to face Bad News at Wrestlemania.

*My other thought for this match is a similar scenario, but with Bray Wyatt instead of Bad News Barrett*

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins
I predict that, after Hell in a Cell's finish, Ambrose will feud with Bray until about TLC or the Royal Rumble. In the Rumble match, Ambrose and Rollins start fighting again, and then reignite their feud going into Wrestlemania. In a match that has been almost a year in the making, Dean finally gets his clean finish on Rollins.

The Rock vs Triple H (with Stephanie McMahon)
Will this match happen? Who knows? It was heavily teased a little while back, and neither man has a logical Mania feud unless the want to follow through on The Rock facing Rusev, which I doubt. It is hard to see Triple H going over in this match. He is 1-4 in his last 5 matches, whereas The Rock is 4-1 in his last 5.

WWE Title: Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs Roman Reigns
This seems to be the match they are building to. Roman probably comes back for Survivor Series to be on Team Cena, and then wins the Royal Rumble. At the Rumble, Lesnar defeats Cena for a third and final time. FInally, at Wrestlemania, Roman Reigns is the guy to beat Lesnar, ending The Beast's title reign and increasing his own Wrestlemania Streak to 3-0.

That'samania 2!

Two of the best technical grapplers in the history of professional wrestling going at it for the European Title is a very exciting prospect. The chain wrestling in this match would be off the chart.

Alberto and Davey are two of the best all around wrestlers in WWE history, and much like the previous match, this match holds a promise of great wrestling, becuause this is a *wrestling* event.

That's right, I'm bringing the Money in the Bank Ladder Match back to Wrestlemania! I put the the MITB All Stars (Edge, Jeff, Shelton, Rollins) in with 3 guys who would do crazy things with a ladder in Pillman, Sabu and Sin Cara.

Punk in another tag match? Yeah, but this match is a very good tag match from a wrestling standpoint. The Kings of Wrestling were a great team, and Punk's only tag title in WWE was with Kofi Kingston so it seemed like a great tag match to book.

This goes back to the previous mania of having a match with a Japanese wrestler, a Luchador and a technical wrestler in one match. Last year was a 6 Man Tag, this year is a Triple Threat.

Vader vs Brock Lesnar in a Steel Cage Match? Great! Paul Heyman and Jim Cornette cutting promos every week on Raw leading up to it? Awesome!

If this was an Iron Man Match my life would be complete. If it was an hour long, the total event would be about 3 hours long, which is a short Mania, but a lot of the filler is cut out, so this works well. Overall this match and event really puts the "wrestle" in Wrestlemania. (Aside from the Ladder and Cage matches)

Hypothetical Event Length
Bryan/Regal - 20 Minutes
ADR/Bulldog - 15 Minutes
MITB - 25 Minutes
Punk & Kofi/Kings of Wrestling - 15 Minutes
Triple Threat - 15 Minutes
Vader vs Lesnar - 20 Minutes
Hart/Angle - 1 Hour
Total runtime (excluding entrances) = 2:50:00

Stable and Tag Team Ideas

These are just some concepts I have for future stables, usually just ones I've made in Universe Mode in 2K14 or other video games for fantasy purposes. Tell me what you think.

The Roman Empire

Roman Reigns - Leader & Muscle
The Usos - Tag Team
Tamina - Diva Member & Enforcer

The Dangerous Alliance

Paul Heyman - Leader
Brock Lesnar - Part-timer
Rybaxel (Tag Team)
Cesaro - In-ring leader (the Ric Flair of the group)
Paige - Diva Member

Kings of Wrestling (WWE Edition)

Cesaro & Sheamus

I will add to this as I think of more teams and stables.

Now That's a Mania!

Some of my fantasy stuff (The 2013 WarGames for instance) were actually feasible, this one is purely a fantasy based on futuristic time-warp technology or magic. This is my idea of what the "perfect Wrestlemania" would be like, balancing legendary conflicts with fun matches and filler, all while balancing the egos involved. I also did some match card pictures for a visual cue.

The Event would open with "The Battle of Bad News!" Not only do they share a nickname but they have a similar brawling style that would mesh well. Throw in a No Holds Barred stipulation and this is an exciting opener to get the fans invested.

This is not Bret Hart's only match. This is similar to the Wrestlemania 10 thing where Bret has to do double duty. He is forced to defeat Kane in order to advance into the main event against the WWE Champion Randy Orton. This would be a good match between two legends. I would even consider replacing Kane with Seth Rollins now that he is in The Authority.

A technical wrestler, a luchador and a strong-style Japanese wrestler on each team in a Lucha Libre Rules 6 Man Tag Match? This is any wrestling fan's dream match! (These 6 are my personal preferences. KENTA, Eddie Guerrero, and Daniel Bryan are too big for a midcard tag match, although that would be a hell of a Triple Threat someday)

To clarify, Arn and JJ are on the outside, this is just a 6-Man Tag match. This match never happened and it should. It would be a fine tag match between the factions. The Horsemen would be the faces, as they have had more time as faces than any of the Freebirds.

This one is actually Roddy Piper's idea, and I dig it for 2 reasons. Firstly, it gets Cena out of the main event, and 2 it gives us Cena vs Punk without it feeling like the same old thing, as it adds Piper and Hogan to the mix as a tag team match.

Two Hollywood stars, two major WWE stars, one is a heel, one is a face. That is really all the story you need. Both guys can work the big match and there is no bigger match than this. The Rock goes over obviously.

Mind Games galore! This one would be good for the promos and make for a very psychological match. For extra drama, add Paul Bearer and The Wyatt Family to ringside. Hell, add the Ministry and have the two factions stalk ringside in a Lumberjack style match.

Lastly, Bret makes it to his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match with Orton. This has the potential to be a Match of the Year, and has a lot of drama, as Bret already had to wrestle once tonight. Ultimately Bret should win though.

Fantasy Match 2: Icon's Fatal Four Way!

Fatal Four Way Match

John Cena vs The Rock vs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan
Made by me in MSPaint in like 2 minutes

This is an Elimination Match, like Wrestlemania 2000
All 4 men are faces, although the crowd is anti-Cena, and are likely pro-Rock
Special guest referee is Mick Foley (purely because I love Mick and want him to be involved in the biggest match of all time)

The bell rings and each man picks a guy to brawl with. Hogan and Austin trade punches, as do Cena and Rock. Rock begins to get the advantage, and goes for a back suplex, but Cena lands on his feet and hits a running facecrusher. Hogan gets Austin in the corner and hits him with a few punches and chops, but Austin counters and proceeds to stomp a mudhole in Hogan's ass!

Cena comes to the aid of his idol and he and Hogan execute a double suplex on Stone Cold. Meanwhile the Brahma Bull gets to his feet and blindsides Cena, throwing him from the ring. The only two people standing are Rock and Hogan. They stare down and get a huge pop from the crowd.

Rock throws the first punch and they trade strikes, with Rock seemingly getting the advantage. He pushes Hogan back to the ropes and whips him across the ring, but Hulk comes back with a big clothesline. Rock quickly gets to his feet but gets a bodyslam, which he sells like a million bucks.

Austin gets to his feet and pursues Cena outside the ring, hitting him with a big clothesline from behind and throwing him into the steps. before stomping him out. Austin runs at Cena but gets back body dropped on the floor.

Back in the ring, Hogan has Rocky locked in a painful abdominal stretch that has The Great One screaming in agony. Mick asks him if he wants to quit but The Rock shakes his head. Fighting through the pain, Rock powers through the stretch with a hip toss. Hogan gets up and Rock hits him with a Samoan Drop.

Rock sets him up for the Rock Bottom, but Hogan pushes him off into the waiting arms of Cena. Cena nails The Rock with the Attitude  Adjustment to a chorus of boos. Cena goes for the cover.

1.... 2....
The Rock kicks out!

Hogan clotheslines Cena out of the ring, and then goes to hit the big Leg Drop on The Rock. The Rock rolls out of the way and Hogan lands directly on his tailbone. Rock takes advantage and locks Hogan in the Sharpshooter!

Hogan is writhing, and Foley is right on top of the action, asking Hogan if he wants to quit, but the Hulkamaniacs in attendance start pullling for their hero, and begin to chant his name.

"HOGAN! HOGAN! HOGAN!"

Somehow, Hulk finds the power to force his way out of the sharpshooter, and he begins to Hulk-up. Taking punches from the Rock before wagging his finger at him.

Hogan hits The People's Champ with several booming right hands, before whipping him into the ropes, but the Rock ducks under the big boot and hits Hogan with a spinebuster, leaving both men down.

Meanwhile, Austin has found a chair at ringside, and nails Cena over the head with it, opening a massive cut on Cena's skull. Austin gets a huge pop from the anti-Cena portion of the crowd.

Austin drags him over to the Spanish announce table, and prepares to lay him on top of it, but Cena counters into the Attitude Adjustment! Austin gets planted through the table!

Again from Youtube, you can find a picture of anything if you look hard enough

Screenshot from Metacafe

Rock slowly gets to his feet, and prepares to hit the People's Elbow. He bounces off the ropes and leaps over Hogan's body, but by the time he reaches the opposite ropes, Hogan has gotten to his feet! He nails Rock with the big boot and then postures for the crowd, signalling for the Leg Drop. He runs for the ropes but Rock does a kip-up and like a flash of lightning hits Rock Bottom on The Hulk!

1... 2... 3! Hogan is eliminated!

The Rock goes from fan favourite to heat seeker with the elimination of Hogan (It's hard not to draw heat in this match, as the crowd would have a huge 4-way divide) and proceeds to celebrate early, as he pinned the Icon first. The posturing gives Cena some time to recover and he hits the Rock with a shoulder block, and then another. Rock swings a haymaker punch and misses, and John Cena lands a spinning out powerbomb.

Cena raises his hand in the air, signaling for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He gets in The Rock's face, and does the "you can't see me: signal, before running for the ropes...

... but the Rock does a kip-up again, and hits Cena with a Rock Bottom!
Photo Courtesy of The Franchise (not Shane Douglas)

The crowd pops, fully back in The Rock's favor again!
"Could the Rock do it? Could he pin 2 legends in a row? Foley makes the count!"

1... 2...

John Cena's shoulder comes up, a split second before Mick could make the 3 count. The Rock is shocked, the crowd is shocked, and even Foley is a little surprised. Rock gets up and gets into position for the People's Elbow. He removes his second elbow pad, and runs, but comes face to face with Stone Cold!

"Stone Cold Stunner! Stunner out of nowhere! BAH GAWD KING!"
"Vintage Austin!"

Rock is down, and Austin and Cena are back on their feet. They stare down and trade punches again, Cena whips Austin, but misses the clothesline and Austin lands the Lou Thesz Press on Cena, landing venomous right hands. He then beckons for the Stunner, and does the kick, but when he goes for the facelock Cena pushes him off into the waiting arms of the Rock. Rock sets up the Rock Bottom, but Austin counters and whips Rock into Cena, who goes for the AA, but Rock rolls off of his shoulders and pushes Cena into Austin, who hits the Stunner as he always intended.
Photo Courtesy of Photobucket (Ignore The Giant in the background, there are only so many images of this Stunner!)

"Stunner on Cena! Stunner on Cena!" (You know Jim Ross would be going nuts at this type of match)

Austin goes for the cover on Cena.

1... 2...

Cena kicks out!

"Cena Kicked out of the Stunner!" Jim Ross is in disbelief, as is the entire audience.
"Can nothing stop John Cena?" Lawler on the Cena bandwagon as usual.

Austin sets up for a second stunner to Cena, when The Rock pulls Stone Cold out of the ring, slamming his head on the announce table. Rock then takes a chair to Austin's head. (By this point, Austin is a face and Rock has basically taken on the heel role after eliminating Hogan) Austin is bleeding too now.

Rock looks like he's going to put Austin through the English announce table but Cena does a suicide dive out of the ring onto both of them! John then stomps on each of them before throwing Austin back into the ring.

Now Cena plays the heel a bit, doing the "you can't see me" to Austin and nailing him with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena grabs Austin's leg for the STF, but Stone Cold does a drop toe hold and reverses it into a Texas Cloverleaf.

Cena writhes in pain, and Mick is right there asking if Cena wants to quit.

"He'll never quit. Cena has never quit before and he won't now." Lawler kills the suspense.

The younger audience members begin a "Let's Go Cena!" chant, which is followed up by everyone else chanting "Let's Go Austin!" The chants empower Cena, and he is able to push The Rattlesnake off of him. They both scramble to their feet, but Cena gets to his feet first, and executes a hurricanrana, rolling Austin across the ring. Stunned, Stone Cold turns into an Attitude Adjustment!
From WWE 2K14, My own picture

Foley makes the count.

1... 2... 3!

"Austin is eliminated! Bah Gawd King! Cena has eliminated Austin!"

Boos reign down on Cena, who has now taken on the heel role. He sits up and smiles, bloody face and all, as he has pinned Stone Cold Steve Austin. What he doesn't see is The People's Champ, fired up, standing right behind him. Cena turns into a Rock Bottom, but Cena spins out into an Attitude Adjustment. Rock rolls off Cena's shoulders and goes for an AA of his own, getting Cena up on his shoulders, but Cena lands two elbows, causing The Great One to drop him. Cene then kicks Rock in the gut and gets him in a facelock and does the last thing anyone expects.

"Stunner! Cena hit a stunner on The Rock!"

Cena laughs, and raises his hands in victory, but before he can get the pinfall, Austin turns him around to give one last stunner before he leaves, leaving Cena and The Rock down. After ten tense seconds of waiting, The Rock kips-up as fired up as ever! Out of elbow pads, the Rock does the "you can't see me sign" to mock John Cena, and then executes the most electrifying move in sports entertainment, The People's Elbow!

The Rock hits it, and makes the cover.

1... 2... 3!!

"It's over! Bah Gawd The Rock has done it King! The Rock has done it!"

The Rock celebrates in the ring as the crowd goes crazy! Mick Foley is smiling as his former tag partner and friend climbs to the top rope, arm raised in victory, and Howard Finkel announces the decision.

Wrestlemania 31 Dream Card

These are just my early predictions for Wrestlemania 31. I wasn't very close with Wrestlemania 30, although I predicted that there would be a battle royal and that Bryan would leave with the WWE Title. This early in the year it is difficult to predict what Mania will look likem, but I have a pretty good idea in my head of what the card will look like.

Using the formula of 3 huge matches from past years

WM28
Undertaker vs Triple H
CM Punk vs Chris Jericho
John Cena vs The Rock

WM29
CM Punk vs Undertaker
Triple H vs Brock Lesnar
John Cena vs The Rock

Wrestlemania 30 was different in that it was bigger and had more main events and less filler, I predict that 31 will revert back to the 3 big match formula with more filler. I am also going into this with a few assumptions:

  • Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho will both be gone
  • CM Punk, Batista and Alberto Del Rio are not coming back this year
  • Undertaker's loss to Brock Lesnar was his final match and his is retired

Pre-Show
Tag Team Titles
Who has the titles? Who knows! The tag team division is always shifting. Who would have predicted that the New Age Outlaws would be champions in 2014? All I predict for the tag titles is that there will be a match.

*Here's a thought: since Sheamus and Cesaro are sort of stuck in the midcard at the moment, how about they form a tage team? Yeah, let's say they defend the Tag Titles at Wrestlemania!*

Undercard
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Hogan made it sound like this will be a Mania tradition from now on, so I'm assuming the lower mid card will mostly be taken up in this match, and I predict that Rusev wins the whole thing.

US Title Fatal Four Way: Dolph Ziggler vs Jack Swagger vs The Miz vs Big E
It's hard to predict who will hold the US Title next April, but it should get some kind of exposure at Wrestlemania this year. I say Jack (as a babyface) should win, but really any of them could win and it wouldn't make a big difference.

Goldust vs Stardust/Cody Rhodes
It is inevitable that the "Dust Brothers" will split up, and hopefully finally get their Mania match this year. I don't know if Cody Rhodes will stick with the Stardust gimmick when they implode, but this match has to happen before Goldust retires.

Bad News Barrett vs Bo Dallas (c) (IC Title)
Bo goes into this thing as a heel IC Champion and Barrett returns to challenge him. I like the idea that a motivational speaker is a heel and the bringer of bad news is a face in this match, and that they have prior history back in 2013. Ultimately this should be a glorified squash and Barrett gets his belt back.

Bray Wyatt vs Dean Ambrose (No Holds Barred)
The promo work and the match would both be great, also this would be the only "hardcore" variation at this year's Wrestlemania, which adds some intrigue to it. Wyatt wins simply out of my own bias.

Naomi wins the Diva's Title in some kind of match

Main Card

Sting vs Triple H
I'm going to assume that Undertaker isn't coming back, and Sting will want the next best thing. The Rock is only coming back for the big main event with a top heel, and won't settle for anything less. Hunter on the other hand is comfortable anywhere on the card (he opened Mania 30) and Sting is just happy to be here. It is also insanely (pardon the pun) tempting to put Bray Wyatt against Sting, but I want Sting to win and I don't want to hurt Wyatt's big match record any more than usual (lost to Cena twice, lost MITB, lost to Jericho etc.)

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (3-0)
I have an internal conflict here between Reigns and Bryan as to who wins the Royal Rumble. I think Bryan should win it, and Reigns gets screwed by Brock Lesnar. This match is Reigns certification as a main event player, in which Lesnar puts him over clean with no BS. Also there is an irony that Reigns begins building his own Streak by defeating the Streak Conqueror.

Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins (c) (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
There is a lot of backstory here. Lesnar isn't able to beat Cena at Summerslam, but Cena is so badly beaten that Rollins cashes in in him and wins the title, and then beats Dean Ambrose at Hell in a Cell and John Cena a few times at other events. Bryan returns in the Rumble match and wins it, setting up a match at Wrestlemania.

Russo is Wrestling II: A Raw in 2012

This edition of Russo is Wrestling will cover a typical 3 hour broadcast of 2012 RAW as written by 1999 Vince Russo.

First Hour

  • The show opens, and Vince Russo is in the ring. He reveals that the anonymous RAW general manager from a few years back was him the entire time. (Hornswoggle was just his personal messenger) Russo then fires the McMahon Family on the spot, (How? Doesn't matter. Ratings!) and vacates all the titles, saying that he is going to reboot the WWE.
  • The first match is a unification ladder match for the IC and US titles, which are both suspended above the ring. Kofi Kingston and The Miz battle, and there is a screwy finish where each man pulls a belt down at the same time. Russo comes out and restarts the match as a No DQ match, but both men are down. Suddenly, Tamina Snuka comes out and nails Miz with a Superfly Splash from a ladder to win the Unified IC Title.
  • Team Hell No faces Team Rhodes Scholars in a tag match, until SWERVE Kane turns on Bryan. Rhodes makes the cover to win the tag titles. He and Sandow are celebrating until SWERVE Kane attacks Sandow, and reveals his mask to reveal GOLDUST!!! For some reason, Goldust and Rhodes are Tag Champions.
  • A backstage segment occurs where Dolph Ziggler sets down the MITB briefcase to take a shower, and AJ Lee steals it, somehow making her the MITB winner.
  • The next match is a WWE Heavyweight Title match between CM Punk and John Cena. Punk comes out in street clothes and the announcers address him as Phil Brooks. He cuts a worked shoot about how the WWE never supported him, even when he was WWE Champion, and says that he's tired of this shit. He lays down for Cena to pin him, but Cena, confused, refuses, so Punk leaves the ring and is counted out.
Second Hour
  • A Diva's Title Match between Cameron and Summer Rae ends with Ed Ferrara in drag winning the belt, only for Tony Chimel in drag to immediately pin him (The two continue their feud to a brutal Tuxedo Match at Extreme Rules)
  • Russo makes a new WWE Championship Match between The Rock and Brock Lesnar in an MMA Glove on a pole match. Lesnar puts the MMA glove on and KO's Rock with one punch, but Nash storms the ring and Lesnar hits him with the title. Nash wins the title by DQ.
  • Nash presents the WWE Title to Russo because SWERVE he was paid to win the title for Russo. AJ Lee cashes in MITB and takes out Russo. AJ is the new WWE Champion.
  • Russo forces AJ to defend her WWE Title against Natalya in an Evening Gown Chocolate Pudding Match, which AJ wins by DQ.
  • Ryback faces a returning Kevin Nash. Before the match begins, a masked referee comes out. The match proceeds until SWERVE the masked referee hits Ryback with a tazer, allowing Nash to pin him. The ref removes his mask to reveal SCOTT HALL. Hall is released the next week and the story is never expanded upon.
  • A Reverse Battle Royal is booked to determine the new #1 Contender. Raw special guest Adam Sandler wins after John Cena is disqualified for using closed-fist punches, a rule that is rarely enforced but for some reason the referee made a call on. Cena then assaults Sandler, turning heel.
Third Hour
  • AJ and Adam Sandler fight in a Scaffold Ladder on a Pole Match, where you must retrieve the ladder from the top of a pole, and then use it to climb onto the scaffold, and then throw your opponent off said scaffold. Three referees get knocked out during the match, and there are run-ins from random superstars such as Santino, Ryder, Tensai, Brodus Clay and the Funkadactyls (with a full entrance) and Bob Backlund, but John Cena comes back and chases them off, turning face again. Midway through the match, Kevin Nash comes out and reveals that he is actually the father of AJ Lee. Enraged, she runs after Nash, resulting in Adam Sandler winning the WWE Title by countout/DQ
  • AJ chases Nash backstage and is run over by a car, driven by John Cena, who is again a heel. Suddenly, Cena attacks Nash, claiming that he is actually AJ's father.
  • John Cena vs. Kevin Nash in an "AJ Lee on a Pole Match" for the custody of AJ. Nash tears a quad entering the ring, and as Cena goes to climb the pole, Russo comes out and low blows Cena, before hitting the Leg Drop and pinning him. Russo now has custody of AJ Lee, but this is never referenced on television again. AJ appears on RAW next week making no reference to the car assault or the illegitimate father dispute.
